DESCRIPTION:
EC-298
is a difunctional phenyl ester epoxy curative. It is a clear,
yellow liquid with a room temperature viscosity around 500 centipoise.
The phenyl ester can react, at sub-stoichiometric levels, with difunctional
epoxies or at stoichiometric levels with polyfunctional epoxy monomers
to yield tough thermosets. This curative does not interfere
with free-radical cure and is therefore well suited for use in epoxy/(meth)acrylate
hybrid thermoset compositions.
