U-793

DESCRIPTION:

U-793 is a urethane resin functionalized with a methacrylate and an epoxy.  The cured resin yields a tough hydrophobic polymer.  The hybrid nature of the monomer allows for varying cure mechanisms to be incorporated into a formulation.  The resin can act as an adhesion promoter to various substrates.

RECOMMENDED USE:

U-793 is recommended for use as an adhesion promoter.  At 5-15% levels, it can significantly increase the adhesion to polyimide surfaces as well as metal surfaces.  U-793 can be used in hybrid chemical systems where toughness is critical.
